10. Best Toy Hauler Rental in Houston – 2019 Heartland Fuel

10 best rv rentals houston toy hauler

Check Out This Amazing Toy Hauler Interior!

10 best rv rentals houston toy hauler interior

This 2019 Heartland Fuel Toy Hauler Travel Trailer is amazing and the slide-out coupled with the 8′ barrel ceiling makes it incredibly spacious. Two, yes two Queen bunk beds with a walk around King in the master.

There is an onboard generator paired to a 35-gallon gas tank! No lugging generators and multiple gas cans around with this rig when hookups aren’t available. A 100-gallon freshwater tank makes dry camping a breeze.

Dishes and kitchen utensils are included without charge. The 3 cook-top burner and large propane oven mean even pizzas are possible! We anticipate that you’ll want to dine in, so we have provided most of your cooking utensils, pots, pans, bowls, plates, knives, etc.

The king size bed with a Linus memory foam mattress is even better than home and is coupled with an in-suite TV. The closet space is ample and hangers are included. You’re going to love the privacy factor as the bedroom door closes and allows for complete seclusion from other guests. The bed is easily made with walk around areas on both sides.

This unit sleeps 5 adults with ease. The bunk area includes two queen beds which can be raised to the ceiling for extra cabin space during the day, which is a very welcoming feature. It also includes air vents, windows, a fan, and privacy curtains. The other sleeping area is simply made from sofa/dining to sleeping in just moments and is very comfortable.

The bathroom area is quite spacious compared to other models. There are a toiletry area and a large closet for flexible storage and a REAL porcelain toilet that will keep even picky campers happy. The full-size, curved glass shower is incredibly spacious. A ceiling fan also gives plenty of ventilation and keeps it comfortable no matter what the temperature.

The air conditioning and heating are superb! There are two AC’s in the RV, yes two! You can hang meat inside (slightly overstated), even in the direct Texas heat. It is especially comfortable because the vents are right where you need them throughout. The AC reacts quickly and is easy to turn on and off with the digital thermostat. The blackout rollup shades are an excellent temperature controller in addition to blocking unwanted light or neighbors. We were always able to sleep in when the shades were down!

The sound system allows for quality music throughout the main unit and even outside. The Bluetooth unit also allows for syncing with your favorite mobile devices. The multiple USB plugs throughout are a big hit with everyone! There are even USB plugs over the master bed for overnight charging and 110 plugs to each side. An Xbox is wired into the Master for the kiddos (mine never gets around to using it).

An extra-large outdoor mat is provided to make your stay feel like home and to help keep your shoes, chairs, and personal items off the ground, yet outside the RV. Several lawn chairs and tables are included for your enjoyment as well.

How Much Does it Cost to Rent an RV in Houston?

When you decide you want to go on an RV vacation you have two options, you can purchase, or you can rent an RV. If this is going to be your first RV trip you should probably try renting. The last thing you want to do is purchase an RV only to find out you do not like RVing.

So, you should rent for your first time just to be safe. When you start to look at rental RVs you will quickly realize there are many variations in price. Prices are affected by a wide variety of factors. One thing that affects price more than anything else is the size of the RV. Larger RVs are usually more expensive than smaller options. That is because larger RVs allow you to bring more things with you and travel with more people.

Another thing that can affect the price is whether an RV is driveable or towable. Typically, driveable RVs are more expensive. Firstly, they are larger and more expensive by default. However, towable RVs require that you have a tow vehicle. Not everyone has a vehicle that is strong enough to tow a large trailer, so driveable vehicles are in higher demand, making them more expensive. You should also note that older RVs are usually cheaper than newer RVs.

Finally, the season you are renting will affect pricing. The summer is the most expensive month for rentals because more people are traveling. With the higher demand for RVs, prices get bumped up. However, in the winter there are fewer people traveling, so prices are lower.

RV TypeDaily Rental Price
Class A$370
Class B$227
Class C$230
Travel Trailer$108
5th Wheel$141
Pop Up Camper$74
Truck CamperNone Available
Toy Hauler$141

Can I Have an RV Rental Delivered to My Campsite and Set Up?

Yes! There are RV owners who will deliver your RV right to your campsite and set it all up for you. Then they will give you an orientation so you can learn how everything works. Then at the end of your stay, they will pick it up!

This is a great way to rent a less expensive towable RV like a travel trailer, 5th wheel, or even a popup camper if you don’t have a vehicle to tow it.

Are Pets Allowed in RV Rentals?

Yes! Pets are allowed in some RV rentals! All you need to do to find pet friendly RV rentals on Outdoorsy is select the pet friendly filter to narrow your search and you are all set!

Is It Safe to Rent an RV?

It is safe to rent an RV, especially when you rent from a company like Outdoorsy. RV rentals are considered safe by many travelers because RVs are self contained and you can stay socially distant while camping. In fact, many activities associated with camping are excellent for social distancing, such as hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking, sightseeing, or bird watching.

What Do I Need to Pack When I Rent an RV?

With a peer-to-peer rental like the RV rentals at Outdoorsy you basically need to pack your groceries, some supplies, and your clothes.

Outdoorsy rentals are used by the RV owners for weekends and vacations and they rent out their RVs when they aren’t using them. So usually these RVs are pretty well stocked, right down to spices in the kitchen!

You can save a bundle because you won’t have to drive to Walmart and spend hundreds of dollars on things like a toaster, coffee pot, coffee filters, baggies, cookware, a grill, cooking utensils, and much more.

If you rent from the big corporate rental companies – nothing is included in the rental and you will spend a small fortune buying or renting all of this stuff.

Do I Need a Special Driver’s License to Rent an RV in Houston?

No, you don’t need a special driver’s license to drive an RV unless it weighs more than 26,000 lbs. which is very unlikely.

You will need to have a driver’s license and be insurable to be able to rent an RV though. Two easy hurdles to jump over in the rental process.

Those amenities include a coffee and popcorn bar, a fitness center, fog for mosquitoes, cable TV, a computer room with high speed internet, free Wi-Fi all throughout the campground, sites with concrete pads and full hookups, laundry facilities, outdoor fire pits, outdoor kitchen facilities, outdoor storage for rent, professional and courteous staff, propane for sale, excellent security, showers, restrooms, and a stocked catch and release fishing lake. All of these amenities should help you have an excellent experience while you are relaxing at the campground.

Mike Scarpignato – Bio

Mike Scarpignato created RVBlogger.com over five years ago in 2018 to share all we have learned about RV camping.

Mike is an avid outdoorsman with decades of experience tent camping and traveling in his 2008 Gulf Stream Conquest Class C RV and 2021 Thor Challenger Class A motorhome.

We attend RV Shows and visit RV dealerships all across the country to tour and review drivable motorhomes and towable trailers to provide the best evaluations of these RVs in our blog articles and YouTube videos.

We are 3/4-time RVers who created RVBlogger.com to provide helpful information about all kinds of RVs and related products, gear, camping memberships, tips, hacks and advice.
