What is the Best Value for the Money Camper Trailer?

One thing we came to realize as we tried to narrow down our list of top travel trailers under $30,000 is that Forest River seems to dominate this price point. While other manufacturers seem to have one, or maybe two, travel trailers under this price point, Forest River has many.

Since showcasing every travel trailer under $30,000 from each manufacturer would be impossible, we highlighted a few of our favorites. However, as we researched different options, we realized that Forest River has found a niche with travel trailers under $30,000.

When it is something you often do, you tend to do it well, which is no different with manufacturing travel trailers. That is why we think that Forest River seems to have many options that will help you stretch $30,000 as far as it can go.

That does not mean that you cannot find the perfect travel trailer for your needs from another manufacturer. But in general, it seems that Forest River travel trailers under $30,000 consistently offer a great value.

What is the Best Month to Buy Travel Trailers Under $30,000?

With many travel trailer options under $30,000, you might be tempted to get out your checkbook right now. But perhaps one of the best ways to save money and keep your cost low is to wait for the optimal time of year to purchase a travel trailer.

When is the optimal time, you might ask? The best months to buy a travel trailer are typically October through February. This only makes sense, as winter is the least camped-in season.

Summer months are the worst times to purchase. Since it is prime camping season, the demand for travel trailers is especially high in the summer. Spring is the second-worst time, as the weather warms and people start thinking about getting back outside.

Fall is an ok time to buy, as the camping season is winding down. But winter is even slower than fall for RV sales. While October and November might be good months to purchase, December and January are the best. Just be careful not to wait too long. While February is often slow for RV sales, it begins to pick up as the weather turns.

What if you do not want to wait for December? Keep your eyes peeled for potential deals at RV shows or when a manufacturer releases a new model. Sometimes you can even find deals from private sellers who have upgraded to a larger rig for a new season or trying to avoid paying for storage in the fall.
