1. Go Ride a Horse at the Kentucky Horse Park

The Kentucky Horse Park prides itself on celebrating and raising awareness for humanity’s relationship with horses. The site shows the evolution of horse raring and it shows the various uses of horses in society. There is information dating all the way back to the years of the Arabic caliphates. You will also find information related to regal horses and carts of Victorian England.

People also come to this area to see the grave of the Man O’ War thoroughbred. There is a grand statue that marks its resting place. Additionally, there are plenty of shows of horses for you to see.

2. Head to Keeneland

Keeping with the horse theme, you can head to Keeneland to see the historic horseracing track. Even if there are no races in session, you can still go there to learn about the arena’s historical significance. While there you will learn that it opened in 1936 and has hosted annual races since then.

3. Visit the Mary Todd Lincoln House

The Mary Todd Lincoln House is the childhood home of the 16^th First Lady of the United States. It has been preserved and memorialized as a historical site. It is now open to the public and is one of the top tourist attractions in the Lexington area.
