Class A RVs are the envy of many RVers. They’re big, beautiful, and provide the very best that a home-on-wheels can offer. From power awnings and full bathrooms to state of the art kitchens and toy haulers, Class A RVs really do seem to have it all.
A significant drawback of Class As, however, is that they’re just too dang long for some of us to feel comfortable driving. Thankfully, many Class A RVs are available at lengths of well under 30 feet. So, we made a list of 8 Small Class A RVs Under 30 Feet:
- Winnebago Vista
- Coachmen Pursuit Precision 27DS
- Fleetwood Flair
- Thor Axis 27.7
- Newmar Bay Star Sport 2905
- Entegra Vision 26X
- Jayco Alante 27A
- Holiday Rambler Admiral 28A
That said, let’s have a look at 8 of the best Class A RVs under 30 feet long:
1. Winnebago Vista

The fourth item on our list of small Class A RVs is none other than the Thor Axis 27.7. The first thing we noticed that differs from other RVs on our list is that the Thor Axis 27.7 sits on a Ford E-Series Chassis while most RVs in the class sit on F-Series. At any rate, it runs on the same class-standard 6.8 Triton V10 motor and 6-speed TorqShift automatic transmission.
The captains chairs are plush, and the dash is touchscreen with built-in navigation, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM. There’s also side-view and back-up cameras that you can pull up on the dash as well. And, as far as towing power goes, this Thor pulls up to 8,000 pounds with it’s rear hitch.
As far as the interior goes, as soon as you walk in the door of the Thor Axis 27.7 has everything that you’d expect in much bigger motorhomes, and then some; rubber tread entry steps, European style cabinets, nickel finish hardware, and LED lighting. Winegard Connect 2.0 is also installed in the RV and works as WiFi, hotspot, and TV antenna.
The RV’s interior also has a fully functional kitchen as well as multiple plans for seating options and sleeping options, including sofa beds, bunk beds, and full beds. Whatever you choose, USB charge ports and wall-mounted TVs come standard throughout the rig.
There’s also a full bathroom with skylight, shower, medicine cabinets, and an area for hanging clothes and towels. It really doesn’t get much better than that!

Yes – but not from a dealership! Unfortunately, your odds of suffering a major mechanical breakdown go up with every passing year. Final Thoughts About Class A RVs Under 30 Feet
Class A RVs don’t necessarily need to be 40 feet long to offer all the best accommodations and luxurious features. In fact, the 8 Class A RVs on our list above are all under 30 feet. And, they all provide the finest qualities found in just about any Class A RV on the market.
Smaller Class As, between 27 to 30 feet in length, are not just as comfortable as larger and more expensive motorhomes, but their easier to drive, store, and maintain as well.
